Terms & Condition

  • Midtrans NEXT Lvl is an official regional partner of the Startup World Cup in Indonesia and will host the local pitch competition for the grand finale competition in Silicon Valley, USA.

  • To register for the event, startups must submit an application form and a pitch deck through the designated submission form on midtrans.com/nextlvl.

  • Startups with a legal entity and a Midtrans account are eligible to participate in the competition, and must be based in Indonesia.

  • Midtrans and Startup World Cup will review all applications and select the top 10 finalists based on the quality of the application and pitch deck. Finalists will be notified via email and invited to pitch their startup on stage at the competition on July 27th, 2023.

  • Finalists will pitch their startups on stage in front of a live audience and a panel of local judges. Each pitch will be limited to a maximum of 10 minutes, followed by a 5 minutes Q&A session with the judges. The judges will score each pitch based on the criteria specified by the Startup World Cup.

  • The winner of the pitch competition will advance to the grand finale in Silicon Valley. Two grand finale tickets will be awarded to the winning startup, however, accommodation and plane tickets are not included. The event organizer is not responsible for any travel expenses or personal allowances.

  • All participating startups are required to use a pitch deck template provided or standardized by Midtrans and Startup World Cup for their presentation.

  • All applications and pitch decks will be treated as confidential by the competition organizers and judges. However, finalists should be aware that their pitch will be presented in front of a live audience and the event may be recorded, photographed, or live-streamed.

  • Startups must agree to comply with all applicable laws and regulations related to their participation in the competition, including but not limited to tax laws and intellectual property laws.

  • Participating startups are responsible for ensuring they have the necessary intellectual property rights or permissions for any materials or ideas they present during the event.

  • Startups must agree to allow Midtrans NEXT Lvl and Startup World Cup to use their name, logo, and pitch video for promotional purposes related to the competition. In this case and subject to point 10 above, participating startups will release and indemnify Midtrans NEXT Lvl and Startup World Cup for any disputes with any third parties related with the use of any materials provided by participating startups.

  • Startups must agree to participate in any press or media opportunities related to the competition if requested by the organizers.

  • Midtrans NEXT Lvl and Startup World Cup reserve the right to disqualify any applicant or finalist that fails to comply with these terms and conditions or engages in any fraudulent or unethical behavior.

  • Judge’s decisions will be based on their independent judgment and evaluation of the pitches according to the specified criteria.

  • The decision of the judges and the competition organizers is final and binding. There will be no review or appeal process available for participants who are dissatisfied with the judge's decision.

  • The winner of the local competition must be available to travel to the grand finale in Silicon Valley on the dates specified by the Startup World Cup. If the winner is unable to attend the grand finale, they will forfeit their prize and the runner-up will be given the opportunity to attend.

  • The winner of the local competition is responsible for obtaining any necessary visas, travel documents, or insurance to attend the grand finale in Silicon Valley.

  • The winner of the local competition must find their own representative to present their startup at the grand finale in Silicon Valley. The representative must be approved by the Startup World Cup and comply with their eligibility requirements.

  • Midtrans NEXT Lvl and Startup World Cup reserve the right to cancel or postpone the competition at any time without prior notice.

  • The competition organizers reserve the right to modify or amend these terms and conditions at any time without prior notice. These terms and conditions will be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Indonesia. Any disputes arising from these terms and conditions will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in Indonesia.

  • Midtrans, in its capacity as the event organizer of Midtrans NEXT Lvl, facilitates the connection between participating startups and Startup World Cup (SWC) to enable the startups to showcase their business plans through several rounds of pitching.

  • It is important to note that the subsequent stages of the pitching process, both during the event and the grand final stage in Silicon Valley, USA, will be conducted as a separate process directly between the startups and SWC. Any results, outcomes, and consequences arising from the process will be the sole and direct responsibility of the aforementioned parties (startups and SWC). Midtrans shall not be held liable or responsible for the outcomes or any disputes that may arise during or as a result of the pitching process.

  • By submitting an application, applicants agree to abide by these terms and conditions, and consent to the collection, use, and processing of their personal data by Midtrans and Startup World Cup in accordance with their respective privacy policies.

Yes, it is necessary for your startup to have a Midtrans account in order to participate in the event. During the registration process, you will be asked to provide your Merchant ID, which is associated with your Midtrans account. Even if your startup is still in the sandbox mode (trial mode) with Midtrans, you are still eligible to register for the event.
